Japan, the Atomic Bomb, and the "Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Power"

leeg
In this two part article Yuki Tanaka and Peter Kuznick explore the relationship between the atomic bombing of Japan and that nation's embrace of nuclear power, a relationship that may be entering a new phase with the 3.11 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear catastrophe at Fukushima.

Let me be very clear:

I dislike the Title of this well balanced article

After almost 60 years history, I believe, it should have been recognized by now:

There was and never will be - Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Power -.

Nuclear Power is so interlinked with Nuclear Weapons production that the USA even does not make a secret of it any more; you can read it everywhere: More than 60% of the Budget of the DOE (Department of Energy) is spend on Nuclear Weapons, including Nuclear Weapon production, Plutonium Pit Production etc., but still they try at least to "cover it up", their last fig leaf, by not calling it something like the DONWP - Department of Nuclear Weapon Production - with has Energy as their "By-Product".

Nuclear Power is neither green, nor safe. It is harmful for our environment , all living nature - including our own life form !
Everyone who tells you different is telling you half truth and / or lies !
