Chernobyl, Fukushima: never again!

On Thursday 26th of April, the Chernobyl accident will enter its 27th year. Ukraine is hoping to welcome thousands of tourists in the evacuated zone this summer during the football world cup, to make everyone believe that the catastrophe is over. The government is even considering building new nuclear reactors. But the catastrophe is still happening: people are living on contaminated land, eating poisoned food on a daily basis, and they shall transmit DNA damage to their children and the future generations.

Ukraine and Belarus are showing us what the future of Japan could look like. And what life in other countries could become if another accident happens again.

Let's not wait until another nuclear disaster strikes to get rid of nuclear energy! Let’s refuse to poison the earth and water with tons of uranium mining waste and spent nuclear fuel! The solutions to phase out nuclear power exist here and now, all we need is the political will.

To show our determination and demand a change towards clean energies, let's organise actions all over the world!

The French antinuclear network "Sortir du nucléaire" is calling for 4 days of action from the 26th to the 29th April. In France, on these days running up to the presidential elections, human chains will be organised in many cities to send a clear message, leave nuclear behind!

In solidarity with the victims of Chernobyl and Fukushima, and in hope for change, we invite you to join these days of action.
We will give a global overview of all the actions that will happen all over the world by displaying them on this website. We invite you to register your actions here so that the rest of the world hears about it as well.

We are eager to know about the actions that you will organise all over the world!
